Google Review QR Code: Get More Reviews
ยท 3 min read
Reviews decide whether a stranger walks into your shop or the one down the road. The hardest part is not the happy customer; it is the extra three minutes they need to find your listing, tap Write a review and sign in. A QR code removes most of that friction.
What the code does
A Google review QR code opens your business's review form directly on the customer's phone. They choose stars, type a line and post. You do not need an app, and the customer does not have to search for your name.
Find your review link
- Sign in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile.
- Search for your own business name on Google.
- Choose the option to ask for reviews and copy the short link it gives you.
- Paste that link into the Google review QR code generator.
Always open the link on your own phone once to confirm it shows the review box for the right branch.
Where to put it
- On the bill folder or the payment counter, where the customer is already happy and waiting.
- On a table tent or a card handed over with the order.
- On a receipt, invoice or delivery packet if you sell products.
- On a small standee at the exit, with the words "Enjoyed your visit? Scan to tell us."
Ask well
- Ask in person first, then let the code do the work.
- Say what you would like in a sentence: "If you liked the food, a quick review helps us a lot."
- Never offer a discount or gift in exchange for a review, and never ask only for five stars. Google's policies discourage incentivised reviews, and customers can tell.
- Reply to every review, good or bad. Replies show new customers that someone is listening.
Static or dynamic?
The review link rarely changes, so a free static code is enough for most shops. If you run several branches, a dynamic code lets you see which counter produces the most scans. See static vs dynamic QR codes for the difference.
Print it properly
Make the code at least 2 cm wide on a bill folder and larger on a standee, use a dark code on a light background, and leave a clear border around it. Scan it from the distance a customer will use before you print a batch.
